The Team
Meet the Team (Me and the Machines)
I’m Andi, the founder and sole human at Responsive UK. While I might be a one-person agency, I certainly don’t work alone — I orchestrate a dedicated, 24/7 team of AI agents.
My Background: From Supercomputers to Pharma
My programming journey started as a young child when my father bought me a ZX Spectrum. I went on to start my career as a systems programmer on Harris Supercomputers in Milton Keynes. From there, I spent 20 years working on IBM i-series super-minicomputers handling mission-critical systems for logistics, manufacturing, and finance.
Before starting Responsive UK, I shifted to web development, specifically building high-precision websites for the heavily regulated pharmaceutical sector. I know what it takes to build systems that simply cannot fail.
How I Work Now: The “AI Foreman”
In 2025, I realised AI was going to completely change our industry. I stopped writing code by hand. Now, I act as an orchestrator. I write exact, strict technical specifications, and my AI agents work diligently in the background to build, test, and deploy the software.
Getting unpredictable (stochastic) AI to build highly reliable (deterministic) software was a massive learning curve that took me months to perfect to my exacting standards. As a UK windsurfer, I am used to massive challenges—pulling off this AI workflow was a lot like landing your first carve gybe on the water; once you get through the frustration and nail it, you are completely hooked.
The Human in the Loop
My AI assistants work 24 hours a day, constantly checking, updating, and refining your digital infrastructure. But AI isn’t perfect, and it makes mistakes just like humans do. That’s why I strictly operate as the “Human in the Loop”. Nothing goes live without my review, ensuring that the speed of AI is always backed by decades of enterprise-level human experience.
Welcome to the new wave of web development.
